Xeroderma Pigmentosum Support Group

The XP Support Group is a UK charitable Trust founded in 1999 by parents of a child with XP. It aims to relieve the needs of persons with Xeroderma Pigmentosum and other related conditions and their families. The Group raises funds for research, gives grants for UV protective equipment and products, assists families to attend night time camps in the UK, USA, France & Germany or respite in a protective environment. XP to feature in BBC1 Inside Out

On Friday 25th April 19.30 Inside Out North East will be telling the story of newly diagnosed Alice, aged 3. Alice was diagnosed with XP in February and the programme highlights the problems that her family encountered when trying to get help.

For those who do not live in the North East you can see the programme on Sky channel 975 or watch it at www.bbc.co.uk/insideout/northeast after it has been aired.

Google Malware Alert - A Message from Our Webmaster

Many of you may have noticed that Google have placed a "Malware" alert on our site.

If you Google our site it says "This site may harm your computer."

Google do this to protect users from sites that are attempting to download malicious or dangerous programs onto the computers of viewers who have browsed to the site. Somehow the XPsupportgroup has triggered Googles warnings.



We believe this was caused by someone uploading infected photos to the Owl Patrol Library, so we have temporarily suspended that feature on the site and asked Google to review our site.



Let me assure you that the XP Support Group abides fully with Google principled stand against malware and the principles of the StopBadware organization supported by Google. (www.stopbadware.org)
